Straightforward salon supply: a 500g tub of waxing formula, priced for people who wax regularly rather than occasionally.

Half a kilo covers many months of legs and arms at home, and a salon works through it steadily.

Wax is used with **TJs Waxing Strips**, sold separately — apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, press the strip firmly over it, then pull sharply against the direction of growth, holding the skin taut with your other hand. That last detail is what separates a clean removal from a painful one: taut skin, sharp pull, close to the surface rather than upward.

Always patch test before a full session, particularly on the face or if you have not waxed before. Do not wax over irritated, broken or sunburnt skin.

Afterwards, skin will be warm and reactive for a few hours. The **Lightening Soothing & Calming Lotion** with 10% aloe vera is the right thing to apply — it is exactly the window that product was formulated for. Avoid sun exposure, hot showers and heavy fragrance on freshly waxed skin for the rest of the day.

Do I need the strips as well?
Yes — the wax and strips are used together and are sold separately. TJs Waxing Strips come in packs of 100.
What should I apply afterwards?
The Lightening Soothing & Calming Lotion with 10% aloe vera. Freshly waxed skin is warm and reactive for a few hours, and that is exactly what it is formulated for.
How do I make it hurt less?
Hold the skin taut with your free hand, pull sharply rather than slowly, and pull close and parallel to the skin rather than upward.
